I read the book just now (10:30 pm).
I found the book to be very well written and informative. I don't know if I can be considered a complete layman as I took 2 accounting courses in college. Otherwise I never would have known what "amortization" is LOL.
My eyes glassed over a bit during the description of all the forms that need to be filled out monthly. But, it's not because the writing was no good. I just hate the material. So darn technical and boring. Of course I don't currently do any of the recommended journaling so maybe it's uncomfortable to be reading about all the stuff I should be, but am not, doing!
I would highly recommend this book to anyone considering having a home based business.
A lot of what is written in the book is applicable to Israel as well. We have VAT like in the UK and also income tax.
